B Team vs Accrington

Accrington Amateurs 5 - 7 St. Clements B Team

The B team travelled to Accrington for their second game of the season

The Saints started slow and were quickly punished as Accrington took a well deserved 2-0 lead with 30 minutes played.

The Saints managed to get two goals before the half finished coming from Hall and McKenzie.

The Saints went in at half time at 2-2 and where asked to keep the ball longer and be more decisive in the final third.

McKenzie made it 3-2 followed by a well taken penalty from Burke made it 4-2. The saints again allowed accrington back into the game as they managed to grab 2 quick goals to level the score at 4-4.

Hartley then scored from outside the box to give the saints the lead before Burke scored again from the spot giving us a 2 goal cushion and making it 6-4. Accrington got another to make it 6-5 but McKenzie completed his hat trick with a back heel finish to make the game safe.
