A Tough Day at the Office: Clements 3rds Fall Short

Clements thirds faced a tough challenge against league leaders Breighmet on a difficult pitch. While the first 25 minutes were relatively even, Breighmet took the lead after capitalising on a defensive error. They doubled their advantage shortly after, again punishing a lapse in concentration.

Ethan Dale pulled one back for Clements with a well-taken goal from the edge of the box, sparking hopes of a comeback. However, Breighmet's clinical finishing proved decisive, as they extended their lead before halftime.

Early in the second half, Chris Cliffe scored a fantastic goal charging down their defenders clearance with good ball control and beating the keeper clinically, reducing the deficit. Unfortunately, Breighmet regained control and scored four unanswered goals to secure a 7-2 victory.

Despite the result, Craig Kirby's impressive performance in difficult conditions earned him the Man of the Match award.
