B Team vs Horwich
The B team travelled to horwich st Mary’s for their first game of the season.
Things started well after some great work down the right led to Barlow slipping a ball into mckenzie to open his account and make it 1-0 to the saints. Clements continued to dominate possession with Burke pulling the strings in midfield. With Ashurst, Sedgwick and Slack defending it looked as if it would be a tough day for Norwich as they struggled to break through. The saints got a second when Barlow fed Hall who made it 2-0 at half time.
Pretty much of the same in the second half with one way traffic directed towards the Horwich goal.
O’Riley was introduced along with Smith in the 50th minute and O’Riley made an instant impact striking home from 20 yards to give the Saints a 3 goal cushion. O’Riley got a second after some excellent work from Green which left him with an easy finish. O’Riley completed a quick fire hatrick after Smith was brought down in the area and O’Riley made no mistake from the spot to complete a quick fire Hatrick. The saints controlled the final minutes of the game with the final score being
